PINOT NOIR

2020 Martinborough Pinot Noir

Bright ruby-red with depth and good transparency, slightly lighter edged. The nose is softly elegant and aromatic; nuances of thyme, minty herbs interweave cherry plums and perfume liftings. Medium-bodied, mouth-filling aromas of cherry plums, raspberries melded with herbaceous thyme, mint, liquorice roots and earth. The palate is sleek with powdery tannin; integrated acidity enlivens the herbaceous character and provides length to an elegantly harmonious finish. Match with crispy pork belly and roasted pigeon over the next 6-8 years. The fruit was sourced from an elevated river terrace at the Southern end of Te Muna Valley, grown following organic principles. Handpicked, de-stemmed, indigenous yeast fermented in open-top tanks to 14% alc. 18-20 days on skins, pressed and aged in French oak barrels on lees for 10 months. This is a superbly balanced, elegant and weighted Pinot capable of ageing for up to ten years.

PINOT NOIR

2024 Arapai Pinot Noir

An excellent bouquet of ripeness and varietal scents of dark cherry and boysenberry, layers of earth and wood smoke, baking spices and saline mineral qualities. A floral layer and light savoury quality delivers finesse and charm. On the palate a dry wine with medium+ intensity of red berry fruits and baking spices laced with ideas of site and and time with a youthful drive and flavours of tilled soils and stone. An abundance of fine through coarse-silk tannins accentuated by acidity and layers of wood. Will drinking well from now through 2032 and beyond.

CHARDONNAY

2025 Martinborough Chardonnay

An excellent bouquet of purity and finesse, with aromas of white peach and nectarine layered alongside lemon curd, subtle brioche, and a whisper of toasted hazelnut. A gentle thread of flinty minerality and saline freshness weaves through the nose, complemented by delicate floral notes and a touch of spice from well-integrated oak. On the palate, a dry wine with medium+ intensity, showcasing stone fruit and citrus flavours framed by fine acidity and a creamy, poised texture. The oak is understated yet supportive, adding complexity without overshadowing the fruit, while a mineral backbone and hints of struck stone speak clearly of site and season. Harmonious and precise, with a long, refined finish and excellent structure for ageing. Best drinking from late 2026 through 2035.

PINOT NOIR ROSE

2022 Martinborough Rosé

Light salmon pink in colour with aromas of cherries, watermelon, strawberries and candyfloss on the nose. On the palate the wine is dry to the taste with layers of red fruits and a lovely soft richness helping fill out the wine. This creates a complex yet delicious medium bodied Rosé, with texture and weight. Serve chilled anytime now and for the next 2-3 years.
